In recent years,
many efforts have been devoted
to develop mathematical
models describing
the behavior
of the
human cardiovascular system, and to the analysis and implementation of suitable numerical methods
for solving these models. These techniques may help to improve the diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases
and to plan surgeries better.
This summer school will consist of three courses and four lectures.
Models currently used in the simulation of the cardiovascular system
behavior
will
be presented as well as the numerical techniques used to solve them and the main challenges faced up to.
The application of some of these results in medical practice will also be shown.
We encourage you all to participate in this event!
