Aim of the applet

This applet allows the user to see graphically a system of equations and if it has a different solutions:

• A unique solution: The lines are intersecting at a point.
• Infinity many solutions: The lines are equal.
• No solution: The lines are parallel.

Input data

The coefficients of the two equations, in the menu Define the equations.

Output data

The graph shows the two lines drawn, and if drying, will also present the cutoff point.

First steps

• Based on the example system of the applet, multiply a equation by 2, does it change the solution?
• Write the equations of two parallel and different lines and see that no solution.
• Consider a line and multiplies the equation by 3, the resulting system of equations, what type is it?
